Grant Application Guidelines
for Non-Profits Based In or Providing Services in Israel
Our official representative in Israel is Mr. Natan Golan. All correspondence and funding requests should be submitted to him. Please refrain from contacting the Zarrow office in Tulsa, OK, USA on any matter related to funding in Israel.
The Foundations will consider requests serving the needs of the following communities:
Please note that the Foundations will not consider funding requests for programs serving "at-risk youth" residing in youth villages or boarding schools.
The Zarrow Foundations will consider funding requests for program activities or equipment purchase, as well as renovation and refurbishment needs. The Foundations will not consider grant requests for operating budgets.
Priority will be given to projects and programs serving the above-specified communities in the peripheral regions of Israel, i.e. the Galilee (north of Haifa-Tiberias) and the Negev (south of Be'er Sheva.)
The Foundations will only consider projects and programs that have secured matching funds from governmental and/or other philanthropic sources. We will only consider funding up to 50% of the total project or program budget.
A multi-year grant will only be considered following successful completion and evaluation of a first year of funding from the Zarrow Foundations.
Review and Approval Process
A letter of inquiry (2 pages) should be sent via email to the Zarrow Foundations' representative in Israel, Natan Golan. The letter should include background information on your organization, brief details of the project/program, the projected impact and outcome of your project or program, a budget summary, lists of board members and senior staff at your organization, and details of a contact person for the request.
Upon his initial review and approval, Mr. Golan will contact you with specific guidelines for the formal application process. There is a unique, web-based application that must be used for Israeli requests, which is only available from Mr. Golan.
Although the Zarrow Foundation boards meet several times during the year, there can be no assurances that your formal funding request will be reviewed for final approval on any particular date.
All funding decisions from the Foundation boards will be communicated to the contact person at your organization by Mr. Golan. Any follow-up inquiries or additional requests should be made to Mr. Golan via email.
